My Top 15 Netflix Recommendations

not sure what to watch next?

Don’t worry, I have plenty of Netflix recommendations that cover quite a wide range of genres.  If you LOVE true crime, I got you covered.  If you’re craving a light-hearted watch, I got that too.  Whether watching TV is part of your daily routine or you barely tune in, here are my top 15 Netflix recommendations that you don’t want to miss!

my netflix recommendations

01

Workin’ Moms

A light-hearted, chaotic, sometimes bittersweet comedy that focuses on a group of moms who are each others best friends.

This is a super easy show to binge-watch, and even better… a new season was just released!

02

Making A Murderer

For all you true crime fans out there – this one is a doozy.  An uncle and his nephew get accused of committing a horribly violent crime shortly after the uncle is released from prison after being proven innocent with new DNA technology.  The show documents their experiences with the legal system and how one special lawyer is trying to get them out.

03

When They See Us

Another true crime recommendation!  When They See Us is the incredibly sad and heart-wrenching story of a group of young boys that was wrongfully accused of murdering a woman in New York City.

04

Grey’s Anatomy

Super basic, I know… but it’s so good!!  I’ve been watching Grey’s Anatomy since my sophomore year of high school, and it has only gotten better.  Netflix also just added the latest season, so go get started; you have a lot of catching up to do!

05

New Girl

Another basic pick, but I feel like New Girl is a bit underrated.  This is a great show to become really invested in, but it also works as something to watch when nothing else sounds good.  It’s light-hearted, funny, and definitely a unique watch.

06

Friends from College

An extremely bittersweet show about a group of friends who met in college years ago and are now facing new challenges in their adult lives.  Funny, entertaining, and it will keep you guessing.

07

Schitt’s Creek

If you haven’t watched this show yet, I have no idea what you’re doing.  SO entertaining with characters who are simultaneously hilarious, odd, and charming.  A great show about a family whose lives are ripped out from under them and how they learn to create a new adventure for themselves.

08

Someone Great

Craving a break-up movie that will make you emotional, even if you’re 110% happy with your relationship status?  This is a story full of twists and turns about a girl who just got out of a long-term relationship and is trying to rebuild her life.

09

Living With Yourself

Definitely one of the crazier TV show plots I’ve seen, but nevertheless super interesting.  Paul Rudd accidentally makes a clone of himself that’s a much better person than him.  Unsure of what to do or how to break it to his wife, he tries to navigate this new life.

10

Marriage or Mortgage

Reality TV, anyone?  This show is a really easy, fun watch that documents a new couple each episode in their search for either the perfect wedding OR the perfect house.  A wedding planner and realtor go head-to-head, and at the end of each episode, the couple has to decide if they want to spend their money on their dream wedding or their dream home.

11

Operation Varsity Blues:

The College Admission Scandal

Another documentary that outlines one of the biggest scandals in the celebrity world in recent history.  Learn all about what exactly happened, how people got away with it for so long, and the aftermath of this disaster.

12

Too Hot to Handle

More reality TV… but this one is NOT family-friendly.  However, it is extremely addicting.  Watch as a group of young singles go on what they think is going to be a huge summer vacation full of partying and hook-ups… until they find out that if they do anything more than cuddling/hugging, they’ll lose money from their $100,000 prize fund.

13

You

A seemingly normal, nice guy falls in love with a girl that he meets at the bookstore he works at.  But things quickly go downhill, and it turns out that nice guy might not be so nice (or normal) after all.

14

Bridgerton

One of my favorite shows I’ve ever seen!!  A story about a family in London in the early 1800s, focusing on the oldest daughter and her search for a husband.  You’ll get sucked into this show, for sure; there’s adventure, suspense, love, heartbreak, and more.

15

Fatherhood

One of the only movies I have cried at… Kevin Hart plays a widower who is suddenly raising a daughter all on his own.  Navigating life as a single dad with only his best friends nearby, the story of him and his daughter is one that will make you tear up countless times.

Which one of these Netflix recommendations are you planning to watch next?  Let me know in the comments! ((:
