5 Natural Beauty Products You Need Right Now
Over the past few years, I’ve been slowly transitioning to natural beauty products as I’ve learned about the benefits of them. I’ve tried quite a few different products from many different brands to see which ones I liked best.
I’ve gone through multiple tubes of deodorant, many different face washes, lots of lotions, all to find the products that were the best fit for me.
After lots of trail and error, I have found my favorite products thus far, and I can’t wait to share them with you!!
Disclaimer: Just because these products worked for me does not mean they’ll work for you! I think these natural beauty products are a great start if you’re beginning to switch to natural products, but beware that you may need to try some others if these aren’t the best options for you. ((:
Why should you use natural products?
There are many benefits to using natural beauty products compared to normal products, but for some reason, many people are still unaware of these differences!
One major benefit of using natural beauty products is that they don’t contain harmful ingredients. Many of the ingredients regularly used in beauty products can cause adverse skin reactions, result in toxicity over time, ruin your hormones, and much more.
Another benefit of natural beauty products is that they’re eco-friendly! No chemicals are used to make these natural products, which means less resources are used, and there’s less pollution! Many of these natural products are also better for animals because they tend to be vegan and/or animal cruelty-free, although not all of them are.
Natural beauty products also tend to be more cost-effective, since more of the ingredients are active compared to those in regular beauty products. More active ingredients + less fillers = better for you and your wallet!

5 natural beauty products you need right now
coconut oil
You might have never thought to use coconut oil for anything except cooking, but it can actually make a great moisturizer, too!
My skin gets pretty dry, no matter what season it is, so I’ve tried A LOT of lotions and moisturizers. Many of them work for a few minutes, maybe an hour or two, before my skin is just as dry as before.
While I was in Florida on vacation a few months ago, I bought a super cheap “coconut oil” moisturizer to try out. It worked really well, but it didn’t actually have any coconut oil in it… so when it ran out, I thought I’d try out real coconut oil to see if it worked at all.
It did, and I have not looked back since! It is the BEST product I’ve ever used for moisturizing my dry skin, and the fact that it’s not expensive makes it even better! Plus, you don’t have to use an insane amount every time you moisturize because it melts as you apply, so it spreads easily.
If your skin is flaking all over the place and you’re in desperate need of a natural moisturizer, I highly recommend buying some coconut oil and trying it out for yourself!
Native deodorant
Native has a ton of great natural beauty products, and they’re pretty famous for their deodorant!
My absolute favorite scent of theirs is Sugar Cookie, but it’s only out during the holiday season. Luckily, they have plenty of other yummy scents, and they also sell deodorant in plastic-free containers!
I bought the Sugar Cookie deodorant in a plastic-free container back in December, and I’ve been using it almost every day since then, so it’s definitely worth your money!
APTO lip balm
I received this lip balm in a giveaway package from Play It By Ear, my aunt’s homemade earring shop, and I LOVE IT!
It’s the best lip balm I have ever used – and I’ve used a lot. Like my skin, my lips dry up pretty fast, so I’m always using Vaseline, Aquaphor, Chapstick, and more… but nothing feels quite as good as this stuff.
If you’re looking for a lip balm that not only moisturizes your lips but also makes it look like you have a nice gloss on (sans the stickiness of regular lip gloss), go buy this right now.
Native shampoo & conditioner
Native recently came out with natural hair care products, and as soon as I saw these on the Walmart shelves, I grabbed them and ran out the door.
Kidding! I’d never steal… but I did immediately put them in my cart and sprint to check-out.
Listen, I love and take great pride in my hair. I want it to be healthy, clean, and amazing-looking. I LIVE for the moment my hairstylist comments on how healthy and gorgeous my hair is. Dramatic and a bit full of myself? Yes, but what can I say? I’ve got some nice locks.
And my Native shampoo and conditioner are only making my ego grow bigger. They don’t make my hair greasy, and they don’t leave a ton of product build-up, like other natural beauty products I’ve used in my hair. (If you see me with greasy hair, that’s because I haven’t washed my hair in probably 5 days, not because of these products.)
Major bonus: they are super affordable! Native isn’t one of those companies that sells natural products for $30+ (thank goodness), so go grab some shampoo and conditioner and try it out for yourself!
Burt’s Bees Makeup
I rarely wear make-up, but who doesn’t love to get all dolled up every once in a while? When I cheered in high school, I used Burt’s Bees ALL. THE. TIME.
My favorite natural beauty products from Burt’s Bees are the lipsticks, tinted moisturizer, and concealer. They all worked so well, and the moisturizer and concealer always blended into my skin nicely.
And because I don’t wear make-up often, I always want my glam to feel very natural and lightweight, which these products were. If you’re like me and love some natural beauty products that actually work, I highly recommend checking out Burt’s Bees (check your local stores or their online shop)!
What are you waiting for? Go check out one (or all) of these products, and upgrade your beauty routine in the process! Your future (and present) self will thank you for choosing natural beauty products. ((:
